Villa Mercedes is a superb, peaceful, large and very private villa with excellent facilities, including a beautiful big pool. It was very comfortable and stocked with a huge range of kitchen and other equipment. The owners, Dave and Julie take great pride in their villa and look after it really well, including regular cleaning of the pool. They welcomed us with an excellent starter pack of food and drink and popped in to show us around (and how to operate the amazing TV)! The location is excellent; there's a small, friendly supermarket five minutes walk away, with all the essentials and Teguise is only a few minutes away in the car. Teguise is a beautiful, picturesque small town with lovely shops and bars/restaurants. We can recommend lovely meals and tapas at Restaurant Hesperides and great wine and tapas at Bodega Santa Barbara. All the sights of the island are in easy reach.

We have had twenty-one holidays so far in Lanzarote. We have always rented villas there, most of them having been very good indeed, so we feel well qualified to offer an opinion.
Villa Mercedes is an outstandingly good property - in fact, it’s the best we’ve had so far - and it is made even more memorable by the exceptionally attentive and personable owners, Dave and Julie.
The villa is centrally located in the island, making it really convenient for visiting all our favourite places; well-stocked shops are within a very reasonable distance too. It is particularly spacious, it is quiet, incredibly well-equipped, everything works as it should, and the whole place is absolutely spotless. Dave and Julie are exceptionally helpful and attentive, without being intrusive, and do everything they possibly can to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.
We can recommend this excellent villa without hesitation, and shall most certainly be coming back here ourselves. Our grateful thanks to Dave and Julie for looking after us so incredibly well, and for setting such a high standard.

We had the pleasure of being able to stay here on a recent holiday. When you walk into the property was immediately takes you away is the size of the villa. Then the quality and size of the rooms in the property makes it idea for one or two families to stay comfortably together. My parents had rented the owners two bedroom property nearby and with both properties we had the use of the pool and the hot tub jacuzzi next door. There was nothing better heading out to explore during the day or chilling by the pool. Their was a modern bbq was an added bonus which we took full advantage of in the early evening.

Extra touches of all satellite to with uk to channels and my partner tuning into football was good. Great wifi

Nearby we loved a pizza restaurant in teguise which we eated in and had takeaway a few times. Only 5 minutes in the car.

Finally this holiday was aided by help and careful attention by the owners of the property. A lovely couple who are there for you if needed whose attention to detail ensured we had a fantastic stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our ten day stay at Villa Mercedes. It has a great, quiet location just outside Teguise, convenient for the Teguise Coast and the airport. And Playa Blanca and the volcanic park not too far away. Villa Mercedes is the best villa we have ever stayed in its marvellous, very big. It is exceptionally clean and very comfortable with plenty of hot water. It really is a home from home with the added luxury of a fantastic heated pool in enclosed courtyard, not overlooked, with a shady gazebo area with webar gas barbeque. Very spacious and bright. Lovely dining area and lounge area. Wii and Xbox for the kids! Kitchen is well maintained and Julie has stocked it with every conceivable cooking implement and utensil ! She provides lovely soft towels and many cushions for the outside furniture. There was even detergent for the washing machine and dishwasher and some welcome groceries so that we didn't have to rush out to stock up as soon as we arrived. Julie and Dave are very welcoming and take great care to ensure that their guests have an enjoyable stay.

The villa is a home from home, equipped to a very high standard. All modern labour saving devices in the kitchen including washing machine, dishwasher etc...

The owners were excellent. They were able to give us lots of useful information about the island of Lanzarote and they gave us lots of restaurant recommendations, places to go and things to do.

We loved the swimming pool and pool terrace . Dining al fresco and doing a poolside barbecue was superb.

The villa and pool were spotless and maintained to a very high standard.

Beautifully furnished, spacious villa with numerous seating areas and a large fully equipped kitchen. Exceptional outdoor living area with beautiful well maintained, heated pool, plenty of space to relax, with large dining area.

Amazing views over the surrounding mountains with a view towards Costa Teguise in the distance, quiet at night, very peaceful in general.

Personal touches from owners including a welcome hamper upon arrival, very attentive.

A great base to see the sites of the Island if you choose to do so. a short 10 minute drive to coast, 5 minutes to closest town. Well stocked mini market a 2 minute walk.

If you decide to stay here, you will be suitably impressed as were we.

Excellent villa, size is perfect to give everyone some space, teenage loved that and the Internet!

The kitchen is brilliant every bit of equipment you need to whip up a 3 course meal.

Pool was probably our favorite thing, couldn't get the children out of it.

The area is lovely and peaceful with easy access to everything teguise market only a few minute up the road, can get anywhere on the island in at most 30 minutes, with beaches about 10 minute drive.

Dave and Julie are lovely and could t do enough for us.

This is an outstanding villa both for its size and amenities. It is beautifully presented with everything you could need to make your holiday comfortable and enjoyable. We had young children in our party and so we mainly cooked in the villa. The kitchen is fully equipped and the quality of everything from the elegant glassware to the comprehensive list of white goods could not be faulted. The welcome pack provided was far superior to anything that we have experienced elsewhere in two decades of renting all over the world. The swimming pool is fantastic and the layout of the property means that even a large party would have plenty of space to relax and would not feel restricted in any way. The owners are determined that you will have a great time and to that end if the villa doesn't have whatever you need [although it will] they will get it for you. We fully enjoyed our stay and will be back.

We were blown away by the size of this villa its enormous and immaculate through out, beautiful bedding and fluffy big towels ,everything you need and more ,the pool area fantastic and the pool was like a warm bath we swam everyday ( been in villas before that said heated pool but never swam as they were freezing ) this pool brilliant , THANKYOU so very much Julie and Dave we will be back

The Villa Mercedes is an ideal place for a get away from it all holiday. With its amazing pool which is completely private and the Villa lacks for absolutely nothing even down to a set of weight scales to weigh your luggage on departure. There was a welcome pack on arrival with a cold beer in the fridge, the place was spotlessly clean, it was really spacious and very comfortable. It had a BQ on the terrace with a covered eating area, where we sat out most evenings till quite late. It was so peaceful and relaxing it was very difficult to motivate yourself from leaving the place. Due to its location it is essential to have a car, whilst there is a local shop within walking distance, we did our shopping in the larger supermarket 10 minutes away by car. The property is fairly central so 20 to 30 minutes by car, will vertically get you anywhere. We have been regular visitors to Lanzarote over the past 25 years and so we tend to revisit favourite restaurants and therefore we cannot really comment on any nearby restaurants. Julie and Dave were very quick to respond to any requests for information and maintained the pool and bedding to a high class standard. This property is by far the best that we have stayed in Lanzarote. I would not hesitate to recommend this property. A big thank you to Julie and Dave. From Maralyn John

very spacious villa in the hills of Nazaret away form the hustle and bustle of the touristy coast.

The villa was spotlessly clean on arrival with plenty of linen and towels for the pool and bathroom. There was a friendly welcome from Julie along with a free supply for the first evening including some fizz and local wine.

the pool is immaculate and large enough to bash out a few km before breakfast. It was also lovely and warm, great for an evening dip

bedrooms were all well decorated and the master room had a super king size bed, and a walk in closet and en suite.

the lounge has a fantastic entertainment system delivered through a gigantic TV and sound bar. although the pool side was so inviting we hardly used it.

convenient to get to other local towns. 15 mins to Famara for surfing and 30 mins top puerto del carmen.

would recommend Lanzarote for diving, surfing, and other water sports. or just chilling and reading a book with a glass of vino.

Our family spent two weeks in this fantastic villa in the beautiful island of Lanzarote. The villa provides everything a family could need and more! It is extremely spacious with 4 large bedrooms, 2 large living areas, a fully equipped kitchen and the lovely outside space with pool.

As the weather was so nice, we spent most of our time outside, but equally did use the large lounge in the evenings, treating ourselves to a news update on the TV!

The pool is a great size and was warm and cleaned throughout our stay. We ate in the villa most nights, making use of the gas barbecue and would eat in the outside sheltered area, which was lovely both at lunch time and in the evening.

The villa is situated in the centre of the island, which allowed us to get out and explore. We travelled around the whole island with ease, most trips taking around 20 minutes.

The local shop has the key essentials, fresh bread, milk, snacks and drinks, however larger supermarkets are only a 15 minute drive away. Teguise Market is a must on a Sunday Morning too, we chose to walk which gives you a chance to see some lovely local scenery.

To top it all off, Julie and Dave are fantastic owners, they really make you feel welcome, and should you need anything they are always on hand. We looked forward to seeing them when they came to clean the pool and have a good laugh. They also have lots of knowledge of the island which they clearly love.

We highly recommend this spacious and luxury villa which I am sure we shall return to in the future.

Villa Mercedes is an extremely spacious, beautifully fitted and very well-equipped house. It's rare to find a villa with a pool of this size too (although the depth is not sufficient for diving). Given that we were there at Easter, it was worth paying a supplement to have the pool heated, as the wind had quite a cooling effect. (Note that a childproof barrier is provided if required to prevent access to the steps and pool.)

Dave and Julie were very welcoming and helpful during our stay, and very discreet on the odd occasion they came to clean the pool. As others have said, the welcome pack was like nothing we'd ever experienced before - and we've stayed in a LOT of villas over the years! Fabulous - loads of fresh fruit, cheese, ham, three types of wine, bread, biscuits, crisps, milk, eggs, water, etc. - all you need to start you off! It was a real bonus to find supplies of tea, ground coffee, sugar, olive oil, herbs and spices, foil, film, and even dishwasher tablets - none of which Julie would allow us to replace. All we bought for the house was laundry detergent and softener, and a top up of kitchen and toilet rolls.

Note that, unsurprisingly, care must be taken to prevent crumbs, etc, attracting ants.

The bedrooms and bathrooms have plenty of storage cupboards and drawers, as does the kitchen - which is equipped with every possible gadget and accessory. The floors are fully tiled throughout, so good for those with allergies - and easy cleaning. High quality bath, hand and beach towels are provided, along with numerous chair and lounger cushions and throws for the outside area.

Our (adult!) children had much fun with the Wii, and it was great to follow the Commonwealth Games on the large screen TV. Wifi was good where it worked, but didn't extend to two of the bedrooms, or onto the veranda.

We were delighted with the peacefulness of the area, well away from the tourist hubs on the coast, and with the villa being just on the edge of Nazaret, the little supermarket (that sells just about everything) is a few minutes' walk away, as are two excellent restaurants. Teguise (the small, pleasant, welcoming former capital of Lanzarote,) can be reached in about 25 minutes on foot, mostly on dirt tracks, which makes for a nice walk in the evening. The track and path network also provides several routes for early morning/evening running.

Other than the minor limitations of the Wifi, the villa was perfect; we would recommend it very highly!
