Who are we?

Welcome to Lanzarote Villas Direct – a family business offering a range of luxurious yet affordable holiday accommodations here in Lanzarote. We only advertise properties owned by ourselves or close friends, so you are dealing directly with the people who care the most about making your holiday unforgettable. No booking fees or third party interference means you are paying the lowest price possible for the holiday you deserve.

We love Lanzarote so much that we chose to make it our home over 20 years ago. For that reason we can offer advice on how to make the most of your stay, and an insight into parts of the island that are not commonly known.

More importantly we understand the need for family time away – that is why we don’t increase our prices during holiday or high season weeks when we know you will be paying more for your flights.

We focus on offering properties that are far enough away from the tourist areas to ensure tranquillity, yet the resorts are easily reached within a few minutes´ drive. In fact the ideal positioning of each residence means you are close enough to experience all that the Island has to offer in a very short time.

If you would like more information on any of the properties we advertise, or advice on how to make the most of your time here in Lanzarote we would love to hear from you. We want you love Lanzarote as much as we do.

I have had quite a few messages from guests asking me what the situation is like over here at the moment, regarding the use of masks.. The law is that masks must be worn in public places where a distance of 1.5m cannot be maintained – this applies to open air as well as inside buildings. I have noticed though that in general most people wear masks when in shops whether the distance can be kept or not – it’s more like a sort of common courtesy that has been adopted. In bars and restaurants...

Trip to Timanfaya

Another free trip for residents! As it was the residents´ special we were allowed out of the coach to take photos of the volcanos and lava (at first we thought there was a problem!). Archie found the experience exhausting but managed to revive himself for the fire, steam and of course lunch 🤣🤣 It was a special treat for working so hard during lock down and getting phenomenal end of term marks; well done gang! 🏆

Jameos del Agua and Mirador del Rio

For the last ten days residents of Lanzarote have been taking advantage of a generous free entrance offer to all the Cesar Manrique tourist attractions. Here we are at Jameos and then Mirador del Rio. As the school holidays started on 19th June and home schooling has ended, we have enjoyed the trips out after a long lockdown! There is a new section at Jameos del Agua - a waterfall in the cave behind the stage, well worth a visit. It was good practice for the necessary social distancing and...

Arrieta Pier – UPDATE

As promised here is an update on work being done to the Arrieta pier...The crane is still there and it looks like a building site but it's coming along! We noted with horror the continued blocking of parking for the beach and someone's bright idea to paint a basket ball pitch on the car park near to the beach bar. This means anyone with a disability will not have beach access. So many visitors had the beach bar as a 'must visit' on their holiday agenda. Who comes up with these crazy plans?...

On Monday flights from EU countries (including the UK) will be resumed and so hopefully it won’t be long until you are able to get back to Lanzarote. We´ve missed you!! 😎🍾✈️ With this in mind we are offering a 15% discount on all our accommodations for any remaining dates in 2020. What better way to recover from the last few months than spending it in a private property - just you and close friends/family? Your own safety bubble abroad with no reason to mix with...

Today is Canarian Day, but all celebratory events have been cancelled due to the islands being in official mourning for the people who died from Coronavirus. Any online festivities have been postponed until the 10 day mourning period finishes, so instead here´s a throwback photo of the kids from a few years ago. HAPPY CANARIAN DAY EVERYONE
