Who are we?

Welcome to Lanzarote Villas Direct – a family business offering a range of luxurious yet affordable holiday accommodations here in Lanzarote. We only advertise properties owned by ourselves or close friends, so you are dealing directly with the people who care the most about making your holiday unforgettable. No booking fees or third party interference means you are paying the lowest price possible for the holiday you deserve.

We love Lanzarote so much that we chose to make it our home over 20 years ago. For that reason we can offer advice on how to make the most of your stay, and an insight into parts of the island that are not commonly known.

More importantly we understand the need for family time away – that is why we don’t increase our prices during holiday or high season weeks when we know you will be paying more for your flights.

We focus on offering properties that are far enough away from the tourist areas to ensure tranquillity, yet the resorts are easily reached within a few minutes´ drive. In fact the ideal positioning of each residence means you are close enough to experience all that the Island has to offer in a very short time.

If you would like more information on any of the properties we advertise, or advice on how to make the most of your time here in Lanzarote we would love to hear from you. We want you love Lanzarote as much as we do.

Canarian Day 30 May

All places have a history and the one of our archipelago is very particular. Many will wonder why we celebrate the Canary Islands Day and here is why... This festival turns out to be special, not only for the historians but also for the inhabitants of the islands. And is that this holiday represents that longed desire of the Canaries to have greater representation and autonomy. The 30 of May of 1983 was the first of the sessions of the Parliament of Canarias and was celebrated in Santa Cruz,...

Wednesday would have been César Manrique's 100th birthday, and the day was marked by a fantastic gathering at Jameos del Agua. His influence, and that of the fundacion, remain strong here, and long may that continue. You are probably familiar with his works on this island, but did you know he was involved in many other projects in Spain? There's Lago Martiánez in Puerto de la Cruz, in Tenerife - a fabulous complex of swimming pools and sculptures. He also designed a commercial centre in Madrid...

Lanzarote tips for the “First Timer”

Courtesy of one of our now regular LVD guests Gosh, where to begin.   Firstly I think it worthwhile mentioning that the island is very much the creation of one man, Cesar Manrique.   An architect, he influenced the development of the island as a tourist attraction, with the result that houses are mostly white and painted with brown, green or blue doors and windows, many with Spanish balconies.   He loathed the high-rise buildings on Tenerife, consequently there is only one building of any...

Las Maretas Costa Teguise

When you first arrive on the island you have favourite restaurants that you regularly frequent and then forget. Las Maretas is one such eatery. I returned today after 3 years and realised what an idiot I am not to visit more regularly. I understand many of their customers salivate on the plane coming over and always book in with Domingo and Queta for their first night. Today I had prawns in garlic and Maretas special salad. Its silver service inside but I preferred to sit outside, no...

Coastal walk Punta Mujeres

One disadvantage of someone buying you a fit bit is its continual reminders to get up and do something! 10,000 steps being the recommended daily exercise we decided to do the costal walk from the outskirts of Punta Mujeres along the coastal footpath taking in the natural swimming pools. The weather at the moment in mid-February just could not be better, a lovely 22 degrees at 10am. Park your car in one of the many places outside Casitas Del Mar ( where Tres Palmeras is located), walk on the...
