If you haven’t visited Arrieta recently it’s on the up! Worry not it still is a traditional authentic sleepy Spanish fishing village but improvements are very evident. As well as the original garage store there is a really decent supermarket in the village center with a new ATM outside, a pizza take away, new restaurants, coffee shops; gift shops… even a new post box and stamps!
We have been told that restaurant Nassa has an excellent paella reputation, today we tried it. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the meal freshly prepared. Take my tip order less than the number seated 4 order for 3, 6 order for 4, get the idea? We particularly liked the crusty pan bottom, a test of a decent paella.
A short walk to the beach followed and we finished off with an ice cream from the beach bar. The sea was packed with swimmers and surfers enjoying the perfect weather. We further along from the beach bar we noted an old VW which has been converted into a mojoito bar, great fun and we’ll worth a visit. No problem spending a day here loads to see and do…….enjoy.
