A day trip to Graciosa is a great day out for any age of visitor. Just take the road to Orzola heading ‘up North’ park your car in one of the many car parks and jump on the ferry. The boats are frequent but my suggestion would be to jump on the earliest you can certainly no later than 10am. Just Google the times of departure and return. The journey takes about 30 minutes. If you are energetic you can hire bikes and follow the sandy road from the harbour which is clearly shown on the photo, this leads to fantastic deserted beaches. Those who are not so adventurous can grab a jeep taxi to either take you on a tour of the island or just ask for Playa de las conchas; arrange your pick up time and pay the driver then.
There are however many lovely safe beaches within a very short walk of the port the photo with the blue doors is the harbour beach the larger one just keep walking to the left, you cant get lost.
There are an abundance of great cafes and restaurants, you wont starve!
I mention again if you intend to visit us later this year or next DO get in early the island is BUZZING!!
