Its 20 years we have lived on the island and still this ‘Fiesta’ thing is a mystery to me.
The first month we arrived we had close friends with us helping to settle in. We saw the mention of a fiesta in Arrieta so obviously wishing to integrate into the community we thought we would wander down and see what was happening. We thought 9.30pm would be a sensible time to go; the place was deserted. We thought we had obviously got the dates mixed up and came home. Just dosing off and at 12 midnight there was an almighty crash of what I can only describe as ‘a din’ It truly sounded as though we were at the front row of the O2. The varied ‘music’ ( if you can call it that) continued through until 6am, no sleep obviously!
What amazed me was that it all starts up again at the same time for 3 consecutive nights. After that experience we have not been for 20 years until………

Its fiesta time again and of course the children got wind of it, EVERYONE must go of course those roundabouts were just waiting for them! We went down to see the parade of the fishing boats a mark of respect for the patron saint of fishing.
Needless to say I don’t think we will have any excuses next year.
Leo and Lucas were demanding to go on the crazy bulls just cant wait for that!
Still a little availability later in the year. I have another villa Last Rays, its quirky and different. Its also only £595 for two people.
Just drop me a line Jan x
