It ’s always a bit embarrassing when a client staying in one of our villas raves about a meal they have experienced in a local restaurant and you haven’t a clue what they are talking about. Even more so when you find out it has been open for 2 YEARS! Yes I admit it I don’t get out much.

To correct this little issue I ventured out to the lovely Palacio Ico in Teguise for a nosey around and morning coffee.

I was greeted by the most obliging hostess who was more than happy to show me around and let me peruse the menus.

Open from about 10am for morning coffee and delicious cakes it’s a great starting point on a none market day to explore Teguise. The dining room itself is charming and beautifully traditional the menu varied and different. The prices are not extortionate but I would recommend it for a special occasion rather than an every day . Do give it a try.
